Get Up

 


Get Up is a 2008 South Korean television film on the educational problems of adolescents in schools. It starred Lee Min-ho, Rhyme, and Choi Ah-jin.








Plot

High school students Min Wook-gi (Lee Min Ho) and Doo-heon (Rhyme) both land in trouble after they get into a fight. Doo-heon gets suspended, and Wook-gi has to clean his teacher's (Gi Ju-bong) car as punishment. While he's cleaning, his girlfriend Chura (Choi Ah-jin) shows up to tell him she's going on a ski trip with her new boyfriend. To chase after his girlfriend, Wook-gi tries to steal his teacher's car – but he can't drive. As he's making a run for it, Doo-heon happens to pass by on his motorcycle, and the two end up hitting the open road together.

  The story is set in Korea during the reigns of  King Seongjong  (1457–1494),  King Yeonsan  (1494–1506) and  King Jungjong  (1506–1544). The epilogue also spans through the reigns of  King Injong  (1544-1545) and  King Myeongjong  (1545-1567), with the last scene from March, 1550. At the outset, King Seongjong has ordered the execution by poisoning of his wife  Deposed Queen Lady Yun , the mother of the crown prince (the future Prince Yeonsan). After carrying out the execution, one of the royal guards, Seo Cheon-soo, is haunted by it.     Faith depicts the love between a warrior of the Goryeo (Korea) era and a female doctor today. It shows that their love transcends time and space.   King Gongmin (Ryu Diok-Hwan), who had long been held hostage by the Yuan or China, becomes king of Goryeo (Korea). He marries Princess Nogug (Pak Se-yang), Princess Yuan. Choi Young (Lee Min-ho) and his entourage take King Gongmin and Princess Nogug from Yuan to Goryeo.  Choi Young was the protector of King Gonmin of the Goryeo Dynasty in the mid 1300s, 1352. He was 29 years old and had no regrets in life and no desire for women or money. His hobby is sleeping. As a brave captain and strategist of the Woodalchi Warriors, he is not afraid of death.
